Mr. Dhanika De Silva has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Assetline Insurance Brokers (Private) Limited, effective 19th September 2024. In addition, he has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of Assetline Capital (Private) Limited and also continues to serve on the Boards of other subsidiaries within the David Pieris Group.
Mr. De Silva joined the Group in 2006 as Manager – Treasury and Investment and was subsequently promoted to Divisional Manager - Planning and Development, Deputy General Manager - Planning and Development and General Manager – Treasury Operations. Before joining David Pieris Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., he worked as an Executive Officer, - Treasury Dealing Room at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC.
He has a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo and an LL.B Honours Degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. He is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.
