We are pleased to announce the following appointments to the Board of Assetline Insurance Brokers (Private) Limited.
Mr. Mahesh De Alwis - Executive Director
Mr. Mahesh De Alwis is promoted and appointed to the Board as Executive Director, effective 19th September 2024.
Mr. De Alwis has over 25 years of experience as an insurance professional in the industry with both insurance and brokering companies such as Eagle Insurance, LOLC Insurance Brokers, and Fairfirst Insurance/Union Assurance General.
He has completed several local and international training programmes such as the Executive Development Programme offered by the Colombo School of Business and Management and the managerial skill development programme conducted by the Singapore Institute of Management. In addition, he has been awarded at the National Sales Congress (NASCO) awards for his achievements in sales in the years 2009 and 2010.
Mr. Feroze Ahamed - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Feroze Ahamed was appointed as a Non-Executive Director, effective 19th September 2024. He is currently the General Manager of MIS, Business Analysis, and Planning at Assetline Finance Limited, a role he has held since April 2021. Prior to this, he served as the Head of Finance and Accounting at David Pieris Information Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.
Mr. Ahamed holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and is an Associate Member of the the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Financial Mathematics at the University of Moratuwa. Additionally, he is Yellow Belt certified in LEAN principles and has completed Doug Adam’s Leadership Programme.
